SICILY. Syracuse. Timoleon and the Third Democracy, 344-317 BC. Dilitron (Silver, 13 mm, 1.56 g, 3 h). ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ Janiform female head, wearing polos; to right, two dolphins. Rev. Horse galloping right; grain ear above, N below. HGC 2, 1373. SNG ANS 518 (same dies). SNG München 1126 (same reverse die). A beautiful example, well struck and of excellent style. Minor edge split as made, otherwise, extremely fine.
